Our Mission & Vision

Established in 2017 and registered under the Companies Act, 2013 (Section 8 Company), Northeast Football Foundation (CIN: U74999MH2017NPL289898) is committed to revolutionizing football development in India. Our mission is to create a sustainable ecosystem that identifies raw talent, especially from underrepresented regions, and transforms them into world-class football professionals.

We operate across multiple states with headquarters in Mumbai and regional centers in Guwahati, Shillong, Imphal, and Agartala. The foundation works in collaboration with Sports Authority of India, state sports departments, and international football academies to provide comprehensive development programs.

Our Journey

2017 - Foundation Established

Registered as a Section 8 company with initial funding from CSR initiatives of major Indian corporations. Started first academy in Mumbai with 50 students.

2018 - Northeast Expansion

Opened three regional centers in Assam, Manipur, and Meghalaya. Partnered with local schools for grassroots programs reaching 500+ children.

2019 - International Tie-ups

Signed MoUs with Portuguese and German football academies for coach exchange programs. Launched scholarship program for economically disadvantaged players.

2021 - Digital Transformation

Launched virtual training platform during pandemic. Conducted first online scouting tournament with participation from 22 states.

2023 - Professional Pathways

First batch of 8 players signed with ISL clubs. Started women's football program with 120 participants across 4 centers.

Comprehensive football development pathways for different age groups and skill levels

Grassroots Program (5-12 years)

Introduction to football fundamentals through fun-based learning. Focus on motor skills, coordination, and basic techniques. Weekly sessions at 35 partner schools across 6 states. Annual participation of over 1,200 children with talent identification for advanced training.

Weekly Sessions School Partnerships

Youth Academy (13-18 years)

Comprehensive training program with technical, tactical, physical, and mental development components. Residential and non-residential options. Regular competitive exposure through state and national tournaments. Academic support and career counseling included.

Residential Option Tournament Exposure

Elite Development (18+ years)

Professional pathway program for exceptional talents. Exposure trials with ISL/I-League clubs. International training stints. Contract negotiation support. Physical conditioning and sports science support. Current success rate: 65% of elite graduates secure professional contracts.

NFF U-19 team in action

Competitive Teams

We field teams in U-13, U-15, U-17, U-19, and senior categories. Our teams participate in AIFF-sanctioned tournaments, school competitions, and invitational events across India. The U-19 team has been particularly successful, reaching semi-finals in 3 consecutive national championships.

Women's team training session

Women's Football Program

Launched in 2021, our women's program has grown to 120 participants across 4 centers. We conduct regular camps, inter-center tournaments, and provide pathways to state and national team selections. Three players from our program have represented state teams in national competitions.

We partner with the Women's Football Committee of AIFF for coach development and tournament opportunities. Annual budget allocation for women's football has increased by 300% since program inception.
